We did some research into carbon calculators available on the Internet lately, and while there is quite an abundance of them, there is still doubt as to the accuracies and maths behind each of them.
While some carbon calculators are a great way of measuring your carbon footprint, more than anything it is also a good way to encourage and motivate people to discover and evaluate the biggest areas they should cut down on their carbon footprint. WWF Footprint Calculator
is very user friendly and a great site to evaluating your carbon
footprint. Answer multiple choice questions and get the result after
you have taken the test. You can also join in discussions and review
eco-tips to help your reduce your carbon footprint.
2) The Resurgence Carbon Calculator is a more comprehensive calculator that lets your enter figures from your utilities bills, transport miles, food and leisure bills to see your CO2 emission. Put together by the Resurgence Trust, a charity that promotes a more ecological and equitable world.
1) Carbon Calculator meets Facebook, the Carbon Account lets you sign up and connect with friends to chart your carbon footprint over time. You can make notes on the timeline to see where the spikes in your carbon footprint is, (e.g. when you took a long haul flight over summer).
